i just bought a used traxxas spirit from ebay.
what should i expect from it? is it going to be fast? and what kind of upgrades are available? any info would be great. thanks

There really aren't any aftermarket hop-ups for it. You could upgrade the motor and/or run a 7-cell pack in it. You won't be able to get too crazy with motors because you can't change the gearing. I have an ESC in one of mine, but cut up the electronics cover so the heatsinks would stick out & get some air. It's pretty quick in stock form & rear-wheel-drive makes for some fun driving.

it depends comparing to what. if you are coming from the toy rc world the spirit is very fast.

Ive been looking around to find a sprirt also. I didnt really like the 4-tec because its more serious racing in terms of gearing and motors and how good your set up is. I remembered when i was a little kid and i bought rc cars from toy stores, and this spirit reminds me of them. Coming from traxxas though, i know it will out perform any 20 dollar car from toys r us. Are you guys happy with your sprits? what is it like to drive them?
