View Full Version : hacker master comp and c50

I know that I want to get the hacker C50, but I don't know what esc to get I'm only going to be running a maximum of 14 cells. I'm not sure if I want to pay for an expensive Schultz. Would the master comp do well for my aplications? My truck is entirely supermaxx and it pretty heavy.

I'm also looking at the c50 and a hacker esc but it seems the esc are out of stock every place I check. I will only be running 12 cells.

the hacker esc's were recalled, but I'm not sure why

the esc's were all recalled because they are faulty, they have been recalled for 6+ months now and people just keep on waiting for their replacements. I would go with a lehner/schulze setup personally.

wait... were all the hacker escs recalled or just the comps?
Anyways, marky, I run a c50 and a car sport, on 12 cells, and torque and speed are very good... I must say though, you HAVE to run a fan on ur esc, I use one of the small micro type fans, which I run off of a 9v battery.
If you have any questions feel free to ask me. :)

not just the comps, also the master car sport and a few other ones, but I dont think it is every speed control model they make. They say they are in the middle of redesigning them.

Well, maybe that explains why most of the "brushless" guys sold their stuff.
OK well, it explains my reason. :)

I would go with brushed micro motors before I ran a schulze, wait for the Hackers or I have a good feeling that Hackers "Nemesis" will have something to offer in the future.

The only problem with a schulze is their poor customer support, but since they dont all fry like hackers its not that risky. If Hacker has waited this long to redesign their issue, who knows how long it will take for them to get themselves together. If your on a budget you could always go with a simple Novak bl setup. I have an SS Novak bl setup in my TC3, does anyone know how well those work in an emaxx? Maybe dual motors?

brushless driver, with 2 novak SS, you will get similar to stock performance :)
In other words, not worth it...

jony, hows your c50 doing? have you fried your esc at all?
