i bought this stampede from a friend about three years ago. it looks pretty standard and runs off a 1400plus battery. its not very fast and doesnt last long. I would like to get a new motor, and what would be a godd battery? anything else that i should look into?

new speed control and maybe a new servo. get gp3300's it will last a lot longer than the bats you got now

i would get a lower turn motor like a 16 turn motor.....but make sure ya got a speed control that will take the motor...now with the tranny i was told that the transmission will not go below a 16 or 15 turn motor cause ya are taking a chance on shredding it if ya get too hot a motor.....right now i am running a fireball 19 turn and a stock esc and peak preformance batts and everything else is pretty much stock and i can get ALMOST 10 minutes of GOOD run time from mine

Ok, for batteries if your on a budget Id pick up some epic 3000 mah's, there only like 20 bucks a piece and last really long, then get a good forward reverse, I wouldnt get forward brake cus your bashing, I like the duratrax(8T reverse), then Id put a speed gems cus there cheape(get like a 15t or a 17t), You could have two battery packs, the esc, and the motor all for under 150 with that set up and that is new, if you go on ebay you could get a discount on the esc. Go to towerhobbies or your lhs for the other.
