Well I installed the deans on the motors today and mounted them, then I installed the body and took the truck out for a run. I'm really looking forward to my first season of racing, I figured I had better snap a few photos because it won't look this nice for very long...

How are the titans holding up with the 14 cells... is the acceleration better due to the anti wheelie chassis..The body loooks tight man! sweeet

how come you called it an anti-wheelie chassis. isnt that the racebomb chassis. is it supposed to stop wheelies? because thats the chassis im looking to get but i didnt know it was a wheelie stopper.

it has a longer wheelbase which will help stop wheelies

I've owned a couple of emaxx's and I have always ran 14 cells on the titans and never really had any problems. I wouldn't say that the acceleration is any better but the handling is much improved. It's much easier to keep the truck level in the air with the 2 in. longer race bomb chassis. I really like the titans due to there ease of maintenance and durability, but once I get the UE cvd's on this thing I'll probably be looking for a reliable brushless setup...

One of the reasons I got an extended chassis, was to help kill the wheelies. You lose time on the racetrack when you can't put all your acceleration on, without standing on the back bumper, which, means you have to back off.

I dropped from 1st to 4th on a starting grid once, from accidentaly gunning it on the race start, it was on its back bumper before you knew it, had to hit the brakes to bring the wheels down.

With my 1.5inch longer chassis, that is less of a problem, I can still wheelie, but its not as bad anymore.

well I have found that wheelies just get anoying after a while... i'm running my titans on 14 cells and it gets so irratating when i peg the throttle in 2nd and it still does a wheelie....i just want it to burn out or accelerate faster without the wheelies.

do deans plug really make a noticable difference in performance? It seems like a lot of people get deans and I was wondering if it was worth it.

hows 4 racer X shocks keeping your car up? Are they better at absorbing jumps then the stock with just 4? IF so would u see a big difference with it absorbing jumps with 8 shocks or is it point less paying the extra money for 8 shocks ? Y did u decide to only get 4 besides 8?

And i would be using the E at a race track with only one straight away but i wouldnt use it much there i would mostly use it for bashing

I wouldn't say the the motors get more power due to the deans plugs, but the connections are that much better and they don't get hot like tamiya plugs which means that there isn't as much resistance..

I think the shocks so far have been the best thing I have purchased for my truck. They are 1/8th scale shocks and really unless you run a really heavy truck you only need 4 of them. It saves you some weight, but you could use 8 if you were going to be doing some serious jumping.

Is that the "Race-Bomb" or the "Torpedo"...

Reason I ask is that I thought it was the Torpedo that was 2" longer than stock. Or are both chassis longer?

Which is "better" Race-Bomb or Torpedo ?

The chassis I have on my truck is the Race Bomb, both the Race Bomb and Torpedo are 2 inches longer.

Personally I think the Race Bomb is more suited for the track, besides being 2 inches longer it also lowers the batteries for a lower center of gravity. But don't get me wrong it will still see plenty of bashing around the house, there both excellent chassis in my opinion it just comes down on what you want to spend. I bought the racebomb because I knew I was going to try my hand at racing this year but the torpedo is a good value for someone who might not have plans of racing but still wants the extended chassis. Either way in my opinion you really can't go wrong with either one..

I can understand how lower the batteries lowers the CG and give a bit better handling and prevents flip overs, etc. But I'm concerned about the "Lowering" hurting the bashing.

This is kind of why I've held off on the GMaxx solution because I want the ground cleance.

Anyone had any issues with ground clearance and the Race-Bomb?

I've never raced my E and mostly just beat it to death at construction sites where there's a lot of hills and stuff to jump.

I was concerned with lowering the batteries also on hard impacts coming off jumps. But actually with the Race Bomb the bottom of the lexan plate that holds the batteries is still a 1/2 inch higher than the skids so they will take all of the force if you bottom the truck out. Remember I'm running the UE super shocks on mine and UE Knucklehead shocktowers but I have to really slam my truck to even get it close to bottoming out, and even when it does the skids are the ones taking the abuse not the lexan plate that holds the batteries...

If your just bashing hard you may want to got the Torpedo route, or if you want a lower cog pay the extra $50 and go with the Race Bomb.

the bigest thing that concerns me is the lexan. i know its strong and all, but for the bashing i do, i would have to get the alu top plate.
