View Full Version : Runaway.....

Well, yesterday while booting around with my rusty right after it rained and during snow flurries, i decided to check just how good a job I did on waterproofing. I began puddle jumping and high speed....not minutes later, throttle glitched WOT and I had my first runaway. I turned the wheel to try and avoid the wall.....and luckily it stalled. My worst fear was over without so much as a scratch. Re-waterproofed it, and Im not going to test it again.

See if you think this may be helpful before your next test. (http://monster.traxxas.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=215627)

I don't think a TRS would have helped my situation there. With the water inside the servo, it was like I was holding the throttle on the transmitter. When I caught up to it, I tried to move the servo with my hand and she wasn't going anywhere (without extreme force anyways).

Ya, I didn't think about that until I had actually posted. I'm sure it was still getting a signal, just a badly corrupted signal. You're right, neither a TRS or a failsafe would have saved you from that.
