I want to run a seperate pack to control my Servo and I assume my reciever . OK what kind of batt??? what does the board recommend on any aspect of this and how Do I do this without damaging the EVX???????

u could use a cheapo alkaline holder. it should hold 4 AAs, and plug into the batt channel on ur rx.

BUT, alkalines get expensive after a while. and its not a good idea to pop rechargable nimh in there, cuz wont be enough voltage. SO, go ahead and from the start buy a 5 cell rx pack made for nitros. make sure u can charge them on ur charger.

BUT, before running any rx pack, make sure u unplug the RED wire from the EVX. can simply be done by slipping like a tiny standard screw driver or a hobby knife under part of the plug, and just pulling the wire out. some people just make switches on the red wire insted, so they can switch back if their rx pack is outta juice.

if its a 6v pack. the evx's bec just sends 4.8 volts to the rx.

iv messed around with a t-maxx reciver pack, and i realy tink that you dont need a reciver pack. it doesnt do much for run times (maybe 1 or 2 min) and adds weight.

im running a 6.0v rx paxck and i like it it seems to pull the wheels to lock faster and the response is better to small movements of the remote
