ive heard all this talk about how you have to watch nimh's real carefully when charging. is this only when you use a timed charger? would you not have to worry about it at all with a peak charger that nimh's can be used on? thanks

no you dont because the power to the batter is cut off as sooon as its fully charged callecelling out the over heating prob

A peak detector should stop when it is done charging, however NIMHs can still get hot enough to do a false trip sometimes.

Ever since getting nimhs, I use a fan when charging. I got a larger 9' circular fan that can point straight up. I just lay the batts right on the fan. That prevented me from ever getting another false peak.

If you have a temp gun, you want the batts to be under 170 at all times.
