a water catcher??? look, you're asking all these questions in all these different threads......im going to sum up water cooling for you right here...... everything you need is, a water pickup, some silicone tubing, some aluminum tubing......thats all you need. first, depending on the type of pickup you get, you could either clamp the pickup to the outdrive, or you could drill a hole in your hull, set the pickup in and epoxy it there. i recommend the hull type pickups, they seem way more effective. anyway, then from inside the boat you run just enough silicone tubing to where the coil will start, now all you need to do is, go to your LHS, grap some small diameter aluminum or brass tubing, go home, find something thats slightly smaller than your motor diameter like a pill bottle or something, clamp glue or tape one end of the tubing shut, then pour in salt to the top, bang the taped end of the tube on a table or hard surface lightly, and pour in additional salt as needed until its full to the top with salt. tape that end now. grab that small bottle and wrap the tubing around it until you have the desired length of your cooling coil, now just cut the ends of the coil off and release all the salt, flushing it with water is a very effective way of getting the salt out. now you can pickup some thermal compound at your LHS or a computer store, spread the thermal compound over the can of the motor and slide your coil on, make sure its a tight fit. now connect the hose from your pickup to the coil, and run a length of tube from the exit part of the coil to where you want your water exit to be, i prefer to use the shortest amount of tube as possible but i still put the tube on a backward angle probably 10 degrees toward the transom of the boat(back). drill a hole where you want it to exit and epoxy around the tube.....voila you are done.......
