Can someone recommend a cheap replacement for the stingers that can still use the stock ESC and give a little better performance?

Your links don't work. But the SG Pro 19T would be perfect for what you are looking for.

This (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXEXG0&P=0) is what I was talking about. As for the MM's they will work well too and you don't need to worry about messing with timing you just buy one normal rotation and one reverse rotation and put them in their proper spots in the boat.
