I was driving my nitro stampede down my street when it stalled suddenly. When i tryed to start it up it wouldnt crank over so i took it apart to see what was wrong. The rod broke of at the crank. What causes this? Where can i get a replacement rod or an aftermarket one? Thanks

A low gearing combined with high speeds will cause that.
The low gearing doesn't put enough load on the engine. Little load will cause the engine to over rev. The over-revving causes the rod to move too fast, which will eventually cause it to bind at one point and snap.
When the rod breaks, ther eare usually metal deposits that fly through the engine for a few seconds. Those metal chunks beat on the piston, head and scratch the sleeve. Check for pits in the piston and head, and scratches on the sleeve. If you find any, you would be best off exchanging the engine, or possibly getting it repaired if it's still under warrenty. Either way, talk to Traxxas directly; they will help you get things fixxed.
