ok in yalls opinion which motor would u get for top acceleration thats a fairly good price cause im try to save up i was thinkin the hpi star but i dunno i want it to be able to race at a track and tournaments but it can be .12,.15,.21 i dont care but plz help me out i need to know pretty fast thanks

.21 would give best acceleration...but it ain't legal...get a trinity sirio .12...novarossi...mt12...if you ever wanna race get a .12 so you can...

yay you cant use a 21 and i put one in my car and its faster than **** but if you barely hit the gas the tires spin like a dragster.so its not worth it

if u want cheap power u should get the .18 engine size. Hot bodies and yokomo are companies that make those engines. It a big block and fits right with very little modification like cutting the crankshaft. the hotbodies motor runs about $100 and yokomo is around $115.

The O.S CV series engines are all top charlies, but tend to be a tad pricey.

Try to get an engine with a slide valve (trx 2.5) carb as these are better suited to on-road applications. Their optimum efficiency levels are at low - high powerbands, where rotarty carbs are better suited to off-road applications as their optimum efficiency levels are mid powerband (trx pro .15)
