i know this can be a difficult question due to different surfaces, tire compounds ect. but generally how long are your rubber tires lasting? i think i'm going through them a little quick.

thanks

My stock tires lasted about 4 trips out. I was running on a asphault parking lot. They didnt perform that great anyways.
I replaced them with HPI radial tires and they have been out 3 trips already and hardly show any signs or wear. HPI tires seem to be the ones to buy. A friend of mine is running the HPI x pattern and is very happy with performance and wear.
I have heard alot about switching to foam , I just have not done that as of yet.

my hpi super radials lasted 1 1/4 gallons of fuel. and still going.

but that is only bashing driving and i dont do dough nuts. but when i need to pull some tight turns i use some foams that give me better grip and r cheaper 2.

Mine gets bald at about 3 visits to the parking lot. but hey no need to get new tyres yet, bald tyres are fun in an open lot :)

i get about 1.5 litres / just under half a gallon from my foam tyres and i race on rough bitumen.. (roughly 20 - 25 tanks)
i found by using the 0 degree rear axle carriers, my tyre's last nearly twice as long now ^_^

i get about 15 tanks of bashing before mine are bald. speaking of which i need new ones since i can't even see the pattern left on my HPI X patterns. I've personally never tried foams although i hear if you are a racer its best to use them

My hpi x patterns have lasted almost 2 gallons and still have tread on them.

i cant keep tires.the only ones to last any time whatsoever were the take off tires that stick like glue.stock tires roughly got 8 tanks.hpi belted slicks split after 6 tanks.

Ok I dont know how you guys are driving and I dont have a 4-tec but on my NTC3 I get about 3/4 of a gallon on belted HPI X-patterns, and about a gallon out of HPI 33R belted slicks all tires are 24 mm stretched onto 26 mm rims

what does the streched tire do? does it give better performance?

They say stretching the tire onto a wider rim shortens sidewall for reduced sidewall flex in the corners resulting in more stable handling. I dont know that I really notice that but most slicks are 24mm and I've a ton of 26mm rims so I tried it out. I can tell you that going the other way 26mm tire on 24mm rim sux ***** the tire kinda ballons and the handling and braking go to **** in a handbasket real quick
