I am in some trouble

I was riding my kawasaki bayou 300 4x4 back to my home after another great day of exploring. When I got close to my house we shut off our engine for a break. I noticed while driving the it got harder and harder to shift. well needless to say it fired right up and my friends left but when I tried to shift.....it wouldnt go!the shifter pedal was jammed. I pulled up really hard and got first gear as long as I kept the pedal up with a lot of force. the next day I messed with the clutch adjustment. I set it really loose, tight, and in between. It just wont catch gear/shift! Any suggestions would be nice. I replaced all the internals (clutches, top end, ect) but never messed with the tansmission

tomarrow I am gunna rip the engine out. I am gunna strart by removing the right engine cover. the auto clutch might not be working right. I need to solder my brush back to the starter stem 2. Also got to take out that *tiny* bend in my front rack from winching down a tree that fell on my quad last weekend. 2 major things, one minor thing that needs to be fixed. It will kep me busy tomarrow. I got the 660 grizzly as my back up:D Gunna drag race my friends 700 sportsman. Yamaha always had an advantage on speed. My bored bayou reaches high 50s low 60s. It is scary when you are on a trail doing around 45 with trees on both sides.

same thing hapened 2 me once on a honda 200, but it did it rather quickly, i would say u bent somthing, maybe if you have realy bad luck you might have chiped a tooth or somthing and it could be jaming your gears.

my friends bringging over his 700 polaris sman tomarrow. I am gunna race him on my 660 grizzly. I love my bayou....it floats too! Sunk it once which did result in milky water. Changed the oil and today drained. No water. When I cracked open the right engine cover (resulting in losing a 20 dollar gasket) I found that the AUTO CLUTCH popped off the pin! THis was casing me to barely shift. TOmarrow I am gunna see if my dealer has a spare gasket so I can get my pride and joy back on the trails (and mud). ALSO it was a good thing that this malfunction did happen! The reason is the pin that holds on a spring for the shifter backed out a little. Loc-tighted it now. Also I am making custom engine lights. All I can say is it is SWEET!

My quad kinda "bobbles" a little bit, mostly in the front, the back end (where most the important stuff is on a 2wd) really likes to sink:eek:
The 500 just took to the water like the Titanic..... go figure. I thought it was gonna float...... How about NO? Went down like a ton of bricks.
A snorkel never hurt, I could have used one on my Polaris:rolleyes:

About the 700, You should beat it off the line, but once it kicks up in it's optimum RPM range, watch out. It flies. Never seen a Grizz run though... Is it Automatic?

On a further note, I'm gonna have to say I'm a Honda man myself. But after seeing first-hand how the Rincon(650cc) compares to the Prarie(650cc), Grizzly(660cc), Bombardier Quest(650cc?), and even the (IMO) God-awful 700, I was dissapointed. To me, the Rubicon(500cc) could put up more of a fight, heck the Foreman 450's could. Just makes me mad:mad: Honda could do better.

its gunna be a close race. I "tweaked" my carb so I can reach 68 to 70 mph. The 700 reaches around 65. Speed aint everything though. Who ever makes it further in swamp wins;)

The only way the Polaris is gonna push through the swamp, is it's gonna have to hydroplane:eek: Like I said my 300 can push it around.
