g clip faces?

I am cleaning my 4-tec and when I took the engine apart and started to put it back together I ponted the g clip part of the piston facing the clutch and that black part of the piston pin facing the easy start. Is this the right way it goes?

someones got to know. But I am pretty sure this is the right way. But I aint toatally sure.

i have the exploded view on the pro.15 in front of me now, and yes the gudgeon pin + clip come in from the starter side
