I just got a 2 tooth smaller pinion for sts and giggles what should I expect on a stock stinger with this change.

It'll be like a Stinger w/stock gearing, only worse. The Stinger seems to have a lack of power, but okay speed. If anything you could gear higher.

so I will loose some speed, but what about run time I was told stock is 28
I got a 26 now to play with..

I don't think the gain in runtime will compensate for the loss in speed.

I noticed stock the 4 tec does not come wit ha slipper clutch... Is it worth adding? I have one on my pede....

I would doubt the 4-tec would put much pressure on the drivetrain. Doesn't the belt slip?
I also have one in my Pede, and it's all trouble, I keep it tightened all the way.....And yet I wonder why my diff gears strip:p

Since I learend the correct way to set the gears and do the paper thing and let the tranny slip for up to 3' my gears and everything are perfect and I have run over a dozen hassle free batteries.

You can undergear, as well as overgear a motor. With a smaller pinion, you should be able to accelerate like crazy, but don't expect a whole lotta speed or more runtime.
