What is a more durable platform: the nitro Pede or the Nitro Rustler.

Also, is it possible to run bigger tires on both? (like pede tires on a rustler?)

I have never drove a rustler. But I do have a stampede and I do know that it is very very tough...

I have not really had a problem with my truck flipping over. only time it flips is if you are just going wot and throw it into a slide on pavement..then it usually only flips if it catches like a rut or something in the pavement..I have heard anywhere from 30 to 32 miles an hour..I have mine geared lower though so I don't know for sure...I am extremely pleased with the stampede. hope this helps

I don't have one or the other yet but I am thinking of getting one. Actually I am going back and forth between the HPI RS4 Nitro, the nitro 4-Tec, the nitro Stampede and a Nitro Rustler.

I already have a Losi stadium truck (xxxt) and an HPI rally car that I run on-road sometimes.

I go back and forth between the thrill of experiencing blistering speed (of a 4-Tec or hopped up RS4) or the ability to fly through the hard packed sand at our annual beach trip with a Rustler or Stampede.

I used to have an electric Stampede and gave it some serious abuse and it took it well.

Would a Stampede with a pipe / header out run a Ruster, or is the Rustler generally faster anyway?

Also, I agree that the stock Pede tires are too heavy, I would probable upgrade to Pro-Lines or something lighter......

Thanks! I like all the opinions!!!!

Hey pcrx, I have never had a rustler but I do have a pede and it rips!!!!
I don't think you will go wrong with either the pede or the rustler.
it will come down to your driving style and what you want to do with it?
do you want to drive mostly on flat surfaces or do you want to bash and jump?

my n-pede will do close to 45 the way its set up now: 22 tooth clutch bell and 54 tooth spur from a nitro buggy. if your into all out top-end the rustler is easier to make faster

hi all. this will tell you which one i like.... http://www.traxxas.com/ubb/smile.gif i have 4 stampedes...3 nitro and 1 electric.
the stampede is easier to work on(nitro especially) with the engine being higher. but on the other hand the spur gear is easier to change on n-rustler....
i still like the pedes better because im just a monster truck fanatic... http://www.traxxas.com/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.traxxas.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

I HAVE BOTH CARS!!!!I SUGGEST U STICK WITH THE STAMPEDE.....MY STAMPEDE IS RUNNING AT AROUND 43MPH....THIS TAKE ALOT OF FINE TUNING AND MONEY SPENT ON UPGRADES!!!!!HOWEVER IT IS WELL WORTH IT....
