Hello,
In buying a hot motor you need to make sure you have a ESC that will handle it.
I run a Speed Gem Diamond 12T double wind.
I have a novac tempest ECS in my Rustler
And you talking flying, this bad boy will fly!!! But I also had to get a slipper clutch to prevent my motor and ECS from Ripping my gears out too.
Now you can buy inexspencive ESC's that will handle such a motor, But pay attention to the mihliamps that the ECS puts out.
Like the Super Rooster for instance....
Yes is says it will handle any motor but the mihliamps it puts out is weak therefore it will not provide you with a massive punch.
the only thing this ECS is good for is that it will handle dual motors.
I think it cost's too much too.
Now the Tempest and cyclone and other ECS's like these put out massive amps to the motor something like 470 miliamps where the Super rooster put's out alot lower.
What to look for is how many cells it will handle, what the motor limit is, and what the drive current is.
