what is the rpm on the new 2.5

A friend and i are going to race we basiclly have matched every thing down to a tee gear ratio and all that left is the engines he is running a .15 cvr-x

Hi,

The maximum engine rpms of the 2.5 is believed to be about 44,000rpm. This is only a rough estimate though.

I saw over at the RCzone forums that they had tested the 2.5 at 41,000 rpms. and a HP rating of 1.33.

Sounds like it's some engine! I can't wait until I can get mine running again, and finishing the running in. It's finally stopped raining here, and turned to snow instead.:(
So I'll have to wait a lot longer now.

Yes, traxxas realy did there homework one this motor. The only thing that i didn't like about the motor is the cast head. However powerline makes a machined aluminum head and anodized it blue. The machined head will cool down the motor better than the cast head.

I heard and red about the 2.5 cracking out over 50,000 rpms.

the 15 cvr-x cant hold even 1% of the power the 2.5 makes, th `5 cvr, was one of the best t-maxx engines but now....the 2.5 came out
the 2.5 even if u race a 15cvr at full throttle and the 2.5 at half throttle i am 100% certain the 2.5 WILL win
no other engine makes the HP, idle quality, quality, rpm's, and warranty that the 2.5 does...

u dont even have to worry a little...;)

hi guys, on sunday I got a chance to race my 2.5 powered super nitro RS-4. after a little tuning, on the back straightaway, it was just as fast as one of the top super racers here. but in his car, he is running a Top TX-15 big block turbo. everyone was suprised and very impressed with how it was running. the only trouble I was having was that my car's setup needed work and a friend of mine helped me out alot. still have a little work to do on the suspension and diffs. and I also need a new tank, for some reason, it started leaking in the 2nd main and was causing a lean setting to occur at WOT. I think I will just replace the tank so I have no problems at all. but overall, I say that the 2.5 is a very competent engine to race with!!:D

i have my 2.5 on my nitro rustler now and wow it flys it spins the rear tires off the rims........but i have a new 2.5 waiting to go in to my 4tec with some new parts i am getting soon,

its not cast iron its cast alum if u want it all shiny get a drimal and polish it
