i think the Associated pipe made one for the 2.5, but i cant remember the part number. do a search as "hop-up's" here in the nrustler board, and u should find a lot of info on what to get and stuff.

*is even poorer than that...* Where do you get an extra wide front bumper, and how much do they cost?
And is there anything else I should save up to get for my truck?

i hear of a lot of ppl who use one of the ae pipes and how well it works on a rusty...so my best bet would to go w/the ae pipe, but i dont remember which one it is so just ask around about the ae pipe ppl use on their rustys
also i would get the rd aluminum front bumper
i myself need some side money...only about 200 lol, 200 worth of rd blue aluminum and some other aluminum parts.....but thats gonna take a long time cuz im savin up for a real car right now, and its sooo hard not to go use that money on r/c

Hi-
Here's what I think are the best "bang for your buck" hop-ups you can get for $80...
AE pipe = $18
AE manifold = $12 (Dynamite manifold is also good)
Ball bearings! = $24 (price of complete Duratrax set)
Fuel filter = $2 (Dubro or Great Planes)
CVEC coupler = $2
Air filter = $5-$15 ($5 for Dynamite Turbo Flow)
There. That's $63 - $73 worth of parts. Why not the full $80? Because you have to account for tax or shipping, lol. Plus its good to have a few $$$ to replace unexpected broken parts.

You wont need to buy bearings because the 2.5 Rustys come with them. You might consider using that money for another set of wheels and tires pending on driving you do. And steel outout shafts. These were a week point on the .15s so I imagine the 2.5s will go through them even more. Don't forget the throttle return spring. And stock up on some replacement parts such as A-arms and rear shock tower.

Hi-
Man, I'm still trying to get use to these new 2.5's, lol.
I wasn't aware the new NR's came with bearings (it's about time).
You can also scratch the manifold off of my list, because the 2.5 manifold is fine.
Those two things were about $36, so instead you might think about getting RD front and rear shock towers.
The steel yokes ($20) are also a really good investment.
Good luck-

remember, the 2.5 comes with ball bearings. also, according to waht Tazz says, the stock pipe is made for the 2.5 rustler, other pipes will restrict power. also, the 2.5 uses a rear exhaust header, so its not like the .15 side exhuast. just stick with the stock header for the 2.5. also, according to tazz, that the stock air filter for the 2.5 is specially made for the 2.5 engine, if u use another 1, it will take away power.

I would definitly recomend a rear aluminum shock tower from rdracing. The steel output yokes are also a good investment like Pokey said.
