I want to race my nitro rustler. What hop-ups should I get to make it competative?

i would go for:
ball bearings all the way around
fiberglass shock towers
big bore shocks
360 stinger pipe

a fuel filter is good too 'cause it doesn't come with one. and while your at it try new engine. the .12 cv is good.
Kn + Kn -> Kn2: see periodic table...
First of all, there is no reason at all to replace the motor. The TRX Pro .15 is plenty powerful enough.
The most important things needed to be competetive are traction, throttle response, suspension, and most important, smooth and steady driving skills.
In the traction department, get different tires. Talk to people at the track where you are planning on racing and they will tell you what tires work the best for that track.
In the suspension department, BIG BORE SHOCKS! You will not believe the difference that this one hop up makes. No comparison to the stock shocks at all. They help out alot with the traction problem also.
In the throttle response department, a 360* stinger pipe really wakes up the TRX Pro .15 off the line and out of the corners.
Some items you should buy no matter if you are racing or not are a Motor Saver air filter, an in line fuel filter, and ball bearings.
As far as a replacing the servos, the throttle servo is fine, the steering servo could be a bit faster, but throttle control in the corners cures that.
Last but not least is practice driving on a race track. Driving on a track is much different than running WFO out in the open with out any obstructions, jumps and other racing along side of you.
Have fun and good luck,
Great post Roy! Please watch the language. -NC
