I just got a new starter box for my Rustler and now it won't start at all. The black flywheel thingy doesn't even turn the flywheel and when it does it does very slowly!

Yeah, even being a little off peak you lose the power to turn over the engine. I have a decent battery and after it was too low to start the engine, I popped it in one of my cheap cars and ran it for like 15 minutes.
You also should check that the brake isn't on!

Try loosening the glow plug a little. The trx pro is a pretty high compression engine. Also make sure it's not hydro locked. If it turns with the plug a little loose you can start it, and then tighten the plug back down. It helps with my recoil starter, maybe it'll help here.

Did you make the engine a non pull start engine?

I still have the E-Z start on the engine. What do you mean The one-way bearing is the wrong way? Starter boxes have no one-way bearing...

IF your EZ starter is still on there then the starter box has to turn over the engine and it has to turn the EZ starter gears over to, Remove the EZ starter or the oneway bearing then try again.

The one way bearing is backwards or it is bad... that is the hex shape bearing on the crank shaft part of the starter...

Hi there Racer! It could be a couple of things. First try clearing a flood on your engine. It could also be a slipping one way bearing (needs to be cleaned), a loose motor pinion, a weak battery or a stripped EZ-Start gear. Clickhere (http://www.traxxas.com/support/troubleshooting/nitro/nrustler/trx_trouble_nrustler_e03.htm) for a troubleshooting guide!
