Stampede or Rustler...

Do any of you know how fast the 2001 nitro rustler goes with 360 pipe?? Also, is it better for big fields and speed or is the stampede? Thanks for any info

I have a Nitro Rustler...with a tuned pipe on back order...and my brother has a Nitro Stampede with a MIP 360 Tuned pipe installed. His pops wheelies all day long...but as in speed my stock setup..(both of ours have bearings) can beat his in top speed by about 2-3 mph. When I get my MIP 360 I'll really kick his butt. I like his car too though...its a nice truck...just a little wobbly on the turns due to its physique.

The MIP 360 stinger tuned pipe is better for
low end punch and acceleration it adds really nothing to your top end speed if your looking for more of a high range boost and better topend speed theres another aluminum tuned pipe out for the nitro rustler but it stays to the side of the car. You can tell that the stinger has more of an acceleration boost by how skinny the actual tuned pipe is and how small the hole on it is. the stinger tuned pipe is better for use off road where youll probally never hit the top speed because of all the turns but on off-road racing youll be better of with the stinger because you really need good exceleration off road to hit jump after jump

The better looking truck is the Stampede,but that is my opinion..If you are going to run on really rough terrain,go with the stampede..Stampede i think is also a better jumper,,but that is because the large travel and bigger tires(nice cushioned landing)...other wise go with the rustler it is more practical..you can run it on the street full speed and whale around a turn without flipping,,and at the same time it is great off road,,and if you get the paddle tires you will layout some mean roostertails in the sand..I run mine on the beach all the time and pull some neat wheelies with those tires..Good jumper but it bottoms out alot on high jumps...but no fear i have not broken anything yet..GO Rustler you will not regret it....

where can I get a rustler 360 pipe? I looked at tower and couldn't find one, I heard they sound sweet, also what pipe gives it more top speed, I would be driving on a flat open field with very little grass

They are from MIP and are at towerhobbies. The DO add a few MPH to the top, stock "pipe" is a muffler, a real pipe will add to both, The stinger just adds TONS to the bottem end. A high end(not money but rpm) pipe will add TONS to the top end, and increase acceration to the bottem slightly.
