take off the air cleaner and clean/ dry the element real good. Dump out the fuel from tank and fill back up, then take the fuel line off the carb and pipe , hold line from carb toward ground and blow fuel out through line that came off pipe to flush tank and lines. Then take out glow plug and spray a bunch of WD-40 in and turn over motor w/ rag covering glow plug hole, do this a couple times, that should flush away all the water. If you still have problems afterwards let rustler set next to heat rigister for a coulpe days w no body on and penny under fuel cap to let air in.

all the water has to be out already cuz im running it and i put the trx carb on it and it does pretty good but im out 3 turns on it and the engine still wants to over heat, does the low speed affect temp?

Check the clutch in it. When i was doing some creek hopping with the Rustler I had the clutch mess up in it. The clutch got glazed over and was slipping badly. Think yours could just be sticking maybe its worth it to take a look and see. You didnt mention how long it was under water so I am guessing it must have been under for some time at least. When I did the creek hopping I burned about two tanks of fuel in mine but the water in the creeek must have been about 2 inches deep only. IT was fun to do it too. THe creek bed was made out of nice big slate rocks pretty flat and the water wasnt standingl it was running it wasnt not very dirty or anything like that.

it was only in the water for a split second, cuz i accidentally hit it, and from that point on it doesnt run good. nitro boy said to change the plug, i did that but havent had a chance to run it yet, i will run it later and see if thats the problem, but i dont think it is.
