Ok, these are two newbie questions but i REALLY need help!!

For christmas i am gettin ANOTHER stock RTR rustler(i already have one but dont ask why i want another because it is a long story) and Speed Gems 2 17 turn motor and a Novak Explorer II ESC. When i install these, is there anything else i will need to buy to make them work correctly like a soldering iron or anything? Please, if u know anything else that i will need to buy, I REALLY NEED TO KNOW(hopefully there isnt)!:confused:

Ummmmm. a screwdriver.
Yeah probably a soldering iron if you have deans and wanna put them in. And also if the capacitors don't come presoldered.
Not much else that I can think of.

you will need to solder the leads from the esc onto the motor so yes,,a soldering iron

Well if it is a plug and go esc he won't need a soldering iron, But i would buy one any how, In the future something is gonna need to be soldered. It is a must if your in the hobby to have one somewhere. And plus it is a cheap investment.
And if you need help soldering anything, Look no futher, There is a few soldering whiz's here willing to lend a helping hand.

"Just plug in and you're ready-to-go" is what it says on the novak website about the explorer two. So, does that mean i dont necessarily HaVe to have a soldering iron? ( i would ask for one for christmas but i am already pushing it with the motor, the esc and the other things i want)

soldering irons don't cost all tha much. $6 maybe. Go and do yourself a favor and go out and get one.

Well, i just called my LHS and hes got one for 5.99, ill just buy it myself. But it is nice to know i wont need anything else for my truck. Thanx for the help!:D
