I know its a dumb question...what are the size of the stock nuts holding the rims on...thanks a bunch!

I don't know what size they are, I got rid of the stock nuts a little while ago for Aluminum Knock off hubs. You can tighten them with your hands. I was using a pair of needle nose pliers before. Traxxas should of put a wrench in the box for this, they did for everything else.

A 5/16 nut driver works well.

I got some of those knock off nuts for my RC10GT and I liked them until I ploped in a mugen engine, they kept vibrating off, I lost one for good. But I'm sure they would be great on any electric car. But on a maxx how often do you really take tires off?

I got mine from rcraven.com (http://www.rcraven.com) . It came with plumbing tape to help secure them. I have not had any problems thus far, and they look cool. Check them out, I have the Gold ones.

They are 8mm.
