View Full Version : Need Charger Help!
Hey I just got My E Maxx with a Duratrax Intellipeak Digital charger and 4 3000 batteries. Was wondering if I should sell the Intellipeak and get a better charger though. Maybe a Novak Millenium. Any suggestions would be welcomed @ beecroft1@home.com EMAIL ONLY! Was also wondering what batteries I should get in the future for the best run time and the best price... thanks

My recommendation is the FMA supernova250s which is the same as Simprop intellicharger which is the same as Dymond Supersmart charger. Has the ability to charge 25cells in series.

The Novak Millennium is an excellent charger. I have two of them along with an "N-Power" power supply. My batteries have gained more power and runtime since I started using them and taking better care of the batteries. I made them into side by side packs so I can use a discharge board. I also made up a cigarette lighter plug for them so I can use both Millenniums at the same time from the car, even while I am driving. You can adjust the peak settings and charge type so it optimum for both NiCad and NiMh batteries. 3000's should be good for run time, just don't get them too hot while charging or running them. 2400's might be a good choice also, but either one of those should be your best bet. Cool them down completely before recharging them if you want them to last. I use a fan to speed the process. I don't know much about the other charger mentioned above, so check them both out completely to make the most informed decision. There are about four or five different chargers that most racers use and the Millennium is as popular as any of them, especially for the price.
