Has anyone used one of these? It is a Dynamite Race Guard. Plugs into the throttle servo and is supposed to apply the break when you get out of radio range or when voltage drops below 4 volts (batteries going dead). I think it is invaluable since I have seen firsthand what happens when your batteries die (full throttle, no control, get the picture?) Just wondering if anyone else uses one?

(The Race Guard is the white thing with wires coming out of it on top of the receiver box)

P.S. I know, I like pics, please let me know if I post too many of them

even cheaper protection against a "runaway" is a throttle return spring. It hooks onto your servo and clips onto your chassis on the opposite side of the car. When you let go of the gas, it automaticly pulls your servo back to idle.

Joe..That works great unless you run out of radio range or your batteries die. In those situations, the servo usually stays at the last position (it won't return via a spring) and that position for me usually is wide open

yea i bought mine 2 weeks ago and it works like a charm, and for batteries you need them if you dont have the ez and you have the pull start. and you have to make some mods, on the reciever box. widen the whole that they already have on the side of the reciver box and let the faill safe stay on the outside and just duck tape it to the reciever box or do what i did. I took some wire and wrapped the wire around the chassis and around the fail safe, if you do jumps like 8 , 9 and 10 ft
