it has come to my ATTENTION that the stampede does not have ladder bars. ladder bars control your suspension flex and are only on vehicles with a live or straight axle; the stampede has an independent suspension. when you say ladder bars do you mean skidplates/chasis supports?

Ok, when i say lader bar i mean the under braces, i just herd the stamped had a laderbar like suspenshion so i thought thats what they where called, anyway, i know what a arms are and im not talking about that, im talking about the lower brace type things.

I have in the works a part that will make your stampede alot stronger and its a aluminum part(s).They mount to the part of the chassis you broke and the shock tower and from what I can tell it dosent weeken any thing.You have to drill 3 small holes in your shock tower and 3 holes in the part of the chassis you just broke I have been running my truck all week with the new stinger pipe in my truck with no problems.They're polished aluminum and counter sunk.With no lower chassis part at all.I just got a replace ment chassis part from hobbie and I doubt I will ever have to replace it again!Let me know if your interested?nanzi@sprynet.com.

Check out the website of "gpmracing.com" They have a Gigantic selection of T6 frame/driveline/suspension parts for the Npede and lots others! Decent prices too. I think that the parts that you would be looking for is what they call a bulkhead and the skidplate together should strengthen up that front end. I plan on getting some pretty soon. I want to break my OE parts first! Thanks again for directing me to those titanium turnbucks http://www.traxxas.com/ubb/smile.gif In the mean time, I've found that JB Quickweld can be handy for quick fixes. Cures in 4 hours. I just 'welded' my old tierod back to use as a spare.

I feel ya guys.Although if it isnt freezin freakin cold outside, Or you are tryin to run it over a skateboard or summin(How i broke my supports LOL)The stock stuff works great.But you peops at Traxxas should know way before hand that those are gonna break and often.You cant be making much at all of of peops buying replacment parts they are already cheap enough.So why wouldnt you guys either Make or Find some 1 to help you all out with some HEAVY DUTY SUPPORTS for the N pede??????????????????????????????????????
That would bring in some $$$ and also more loyalty from us !!!For the money the Npede beats everything else out their..But we want BIGGER BADDER so to speak in the frame area

Hey guys,

The skid plates on the Nitro Stampede are designed to flex from an impact, but when the impact is hard enough, it will break. If you install stronger skid plates, something is going to have to give. Perhaps a more expensive part, such as the aluminum chassis. Think about it, the front end takes an impact, the skid plates do not give, the pressure is transferred directly to the edge of the aluminum chassis. Also remember, aluminum parts are heavier then composite parts. The more weight you add to the truck, the less performance you will have. Another note is that in cold weather, composite parts become very brittle. When the weather gets warmer, you will probably see less breakage. Since the skidplates are relatively inexpensive, you may want to keep an extra set on hand. Have fun!! http://www.traxxas.com/ubb/wink.gif

Yes thats true, But i have found that they snap even when landing a jump perfectly,and a litel weight wouldent be that bad, wheeles get anoying.... http://www.traxxas.com/ubb/smile.gifAnd if you guys would consider this, would you just start selling the front brace, not them in together, i have 7 or 8 rear skits that are not being used because i never break them...LOL
