Not really, they won't get that dirty inside and the water doesn't seem to affect them. In my boat I have a servo for the rudder and it gets wet sometimes, but it's ok.

Servos don't seem to mind the water much.

Hope this helps,

Stan.

That's true. Most servos have a rubber seal or two at their seams that's designed to make the water-resistant. Especially the more costly ones.

The servos will be ok, but the real question is will your receiver and engine be ok?
You will want to cover the receiver with something (usually a balloon) and you will not want to rev the engine has the tires spin.

o i no that tazz......n my receiver is coverd..thats my baby on the car(well it is almost the most important peice) and i dont spin the tire....wait is it bad to do doughnuts once in a while?? and what will this do to the car???

Doing doughnuts will kill the diff. But spinning the tires on wet pavement is basicly like running with no load on the engine. It will rev to high, and possibly stretch or break the con-rod, piston, or sleeve.

Hey Tazz..I heard that running with no load would also mess up the clutch somehow???

If something is wrong with the diff, you'd know it. It will not move, but the engine can rev it's head off.

I don't think that you can ruin the clutch if you rev the engine with no load, but if you go from a no-load situation to a full load situation while still reving the engine, you can strip the spur gear, differential, output yokes, or the stub axles.

The car won't move if you strip the spur or diff. The car will barely move if you strip the output yokes. One of your wheels will fall of, and a half shaft will go flying if it's your stub axle.
