View Full Version : exhaust question

The exhaust on my Nitro Sport came appart where the little cork looking thing connects to the pipe. I wanted to know if it's healthy to be running it like that (like if it can cause some damage or loss in performance) and if it can be fixed. If I do need to replace it would u recomend the aluminum tuned pipe.

could you atleast give a part #? The associated pipe is a great pipe, I put the standard pipe on and even though it did not look that good it gave it rock throwing acceleration.... literally!
you can't say can't

I recomend buying a CVEC Pipe for your Nirto burner. It will cost you around $50.00 but its well worth it

the cvec is a tunable pipe so it will not be allowed in santioned racing events.

Well I don't plan to be doing any racing so i'm just looking for a nice pipe that will give me a little more power. Do you guys recomend the cvec pipe or the traxxas aluminum tuned pipe or maybe any other brand pipe.

I think my broken exhaust is finally taking it's toll on my Sport because now it's taking longer to start and it's running hotter than it was before so if u can recomend a good pipe that's not too expencive or just a good one that would really help me so I know which one I should buy.

The MIP 360 is a great pipe and exausts to the rear. I don't think you will find an inexpensive pipe other than the stock one. You can find the MIP 360 on the Sport site under accesories.

Does the 360 pipe get in the way of the body or anything else on the truck and if it does how do I fix it so it doesn't. Does it add more power than the aluminum tuned side pipe or just which would you recomend from your experience.

I have a traxxas rear exit aluminum tuned pipe on my hopped up sport. I get great mid to top end range and max out at over 50 mph with my pro.15 engine upgrade. The aluminum pipe is awesome. If I were you, I would get it.

You could try to tighten the screw that holds the pipe together.

You should be able to screw it back together and tighten up the nut on the tip on the pipe
