ok this is my delima. i can run my sport in the cold and all but the only problem is that the cold hitting the fuel tank is making water condense inside the fuel tank which can be bad. so anyways does anyone know a way i can insulate the tank and keep the cold out? thanks!

i have been running in the cold for a couple of weeks (just now in the snow, cause we just got some). i haven't had much if any problem with water condensing in the tank.

Maybe wrap it with a piece of insulated foam... something that bends to form. But still gives you access to the lid? Cut a notch out though along the side so you can see your fuel level. You know, sort of how it is on a bottle of motor oil. Zip tie it on!

Insulation wouldn't help that much. It would help a little, but not really. Insulation helps trap heat inside the tank, but since theres not that much heat in there to begin with, it wouldn't really do anything. And also, I highly doubt water is condensing inside your fuel tank. You tuned pipe is constantly pumping piping hot exhuast in there. You should be fine, with or without insulation. Also, even if water is condensing, it's probably not enough to harm your engine.
