well it seems i have made a wise selection... Story begins when my brother in law recieved a "just about spankin new" NITRO Rustler .. FOR basically free of charge.. (person didnt have the commen sense for a nitro car) well me remembering back in the days of Hornets, and Grass Hoppers, RC 10's.. wild willies.. etc..
I decided to look around at the local hobbie stores and see whats the new thing (more than 15 years have passed since ive even looked at thees things.. ) Well i walked into one and ill be ed.. There a God dang Hornet, well i guess they called it beta2 or something like that .. :) And what the **** was that! a Blackfoot? oh my.. i really dont want any of theese things AGAIN!.. i am grown up now, i want something like my ole RC10l , but noisier!!! .. Well went to store #2 and they had a few that were looking promising.. I wasnt planning on buying a car today.. i was more along the lines of seeing what i wanted and doing some research.. Well i was looking at the nitro 4-TEC , and likeing everything about it except for the radio.. (im a Futaba person all the way.. Planes cars boats heli's it was all i used.. )It looked cheap to me.. well to make this shorter than what it can be.. My bro-inlaw was with me and we were looking in a case with some "classics" wild willie, lunchbox,etc.. few others and just so happens there was a Nitro 4-tec in there with them..
Well after asking if any of thoose were for sale, the only one that happened to be was the pre owned 4-Tec.. I immediatly asked how much thinking ill ask that before i waste his time by asking to see it and run it.. Well to my surprise he said 1 and a quarter(125$ for you non connecticut people).. i said hrmm .. "does it come with a radio?", "ya it has a Futaba Magnum Pistol with it" the shop keeper replied.. Now my kid inside me remembered that radio and how good it was too me.. And too make a long story short I am a proud owner of a screwing fast Nitro 4-Tec, complete with alot of extras.. tuned pipe, color aluminum..etc ,too think i thought my Bro-inlaws Nitro Rustler was fast! BAHHHHAAAA ..... I played for hours today.. Freshly paved roads are the best!!

Great. You made the right choice.hehe. You can leave that rustler at the starting line in a drag race. It's one of the toughest, fastest, and most reliable car i can think of.Congratulations on getting it. Im sure you'll like it.

watch out for parked cars.. they may seem far away...

but at 50+ mph... they come rather quickly..

I've replaced more than 10 parts from hitting bigger cars.. mainly cause the traxxas stock brake sucks...

I would recommend a graphtie one, much bigger and much more stopping power.

good choice though.

part #4352! recycling bins! was sunday too, and late, so hobby shop wasnt open.. (there day to play).. But im pretty sure i seen the part in stock when i was there yesterday.. (happened to ask beforehand if the parts and were readily available because i knew i was going to break it!) and they have a 'section', for traxxas... Im used to the weekly trips (sometimes daily, christ i remember multiple trips in a single day) to the hobby shop when it comes to rc toys..
